Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about THE SLAM. Still stuck? There are contact and feedback links on the home page.

Is THE SLAM free?

Yes. The game is completely free, runs in your browser, and needs no account or download. It is supported by unobtrusive advertising and optional contributions that cover server costs and fund new modes.

Do I need an account?

No. Your streak, re-draw tokens and progress are stored locally in your browser. That means they live on the device you play on — if you clear your browser data or switch devices, they will reset. Account-based sync may come in a future update.

How are players rated?

Each player has seven core attributes — serve, forehand, backhand, volley, return, movement and mental — reflecting their grass-court ability, then adjusted by how far they went at that Wimbledon. Champions and finalists are rated highest. Deeper-draw rounds are approximate. Ratings are subjective, and we update them based on community feedback.

What is the Daily Challenge?

It is one shared puzzle per day: everyone gets the same tour, style, cards and opponents, so results are comparable. Completing it extends your streak, earns a re-draw token, and shows what percentage of players you beat that day. It runs as a countdown to Wimbledon.

What are re-draw tokens?

You earn one each time you finish a Daily Challenge. In normal free-play you can spend a token to re-roll the current draw and get a fresh set of cards. They cannot be used inside the Daily Challenge, so the Daily stays fair for everyone.

What is Queen's Club mode?

Queen's Club is a separate tournament mode — a five-round, best-of-three grass-court warm-up, shorter and faster than the Wimbledon main draw. You can play it as the ATP draw or the WTA draw: the women's event returned to the Queen's Club in 2025 after 52 years away, so the WTA mode is built from real recent grass-court seasons. Pick it from the home screen.

Why did I lose to a lower-rated opponent?

Tennis has upsets, and so does THE SLAM — but a clearly stronger build wins the vast majority of the time. If you are losing late rounds, remember that opponents from the quarterfinals onward are always elite, so you need a genuinely strong, balanced build to go all the way.

Is the Daily the same for everyone?

Yes. The calendar date seeds the entire challenge, so the cards on offer and the opponents you face are identical for every player in the world that day. Only the choices you make during your draft change the outcome.

Are other Grand Slams coming?

That is the plan. Roland-Garros, the US Open and the Australian Open are on the roadmap, each with its own surface and character. You can vote and join the notify list from the home page.
