Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

THE SLAM is a free, fan-made Wimbledon champion-builder game. We keep things simple and we respect your privacy. This page explains what we do and don't collect.

THE SLAM is an independent tribute and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Wimbledon, the AELTC, the ATP, the WTA, or any player. Player ratings are subjective estimates for entertainment only.

What we collect

Almost nothing. THE SLAM has no user accounts and no central database. Everything you do happens in your own browser.

  • Local storage: if you submit a rating opinion, a suggestion, or join the waitlist, that text (and the email you type) is saved only in your own browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to a server we control.
  • No tracking cookies and no advertising are used.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (such as Vercel Web Analytics) that records anonymous, aggregated data like page views, country and referring site. It does not identify you and uses no tracking cookies.

Third-party services

To run, the page loads a few public resources from third parties, which may see your IP address as part of normal web requests:

  • Google Fonts and jsDelivr / Twemoji — for fonts and emoji rendering.
  • Ko-fi — only if you choose to open the support link.
  • Your hosting provider may keep standard server logs.

These services have their own privacy policies.

Contact & opinions

If you email us or message us on X, we'll only use that to reply to you. Rating opinions you submit are personal views used to help improve the game's ratings; they are not facts and may be edited or ignored.

Children

THE SLAM is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
