THE SLAM is a free browser game that turns the history of Wimbledon into a draft. Instead of picking one player, you assemble a champion shot by shot — a serve here, a backhand there, the movement of one legend and the nerve of another — and then test that creation against the most demanding fortnight in tennis.
Every tennis fan argues about the same thing: who had the best serve, the best return, the best mind under pressure? THE SLAM takes those arguments and makes them playable. The grass courts of the All England Club have hosted serve-and-volley artists, baseline grinders, big servers and impossible movers across many decades. By letting you borrow a single signature shot from any of them, the game asks a fresh question every time: can the pieces you chose actually win seven matches in a row?
Each player in the game has seven core attributes — serve, forehand, backhand, volley, return, movement and mental strength — rated on a scale that reflects how that player performed on grass at their level. Those base ratings are then adjusted by how far the player went at that specific Wimbledon: champions and finalists carry a meaningful boost, because lifting the trophy or reaching the final is the truest evidence of grass-court quality. Additional composite attributes such as power, touch and slice are derived from the core seven, so a build’s playing style genuinely changes which shots matter.
Ratings are, of course, a matter of opinion. We lean on real results — champions, finalists, semifinalists and quarterfinalists are accurate — while deeper-draw rounds are approximate where exact records are harder to pin down. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same puzzle on the same day, so a 7–0 run actually means something when you share it. It runs as a countdown to Wimbledon, with a new challenge every day, a streak to protect, and re-draw tokens to earn. It is the heart of the game and the best place to start.
THE SLAM is free and runs entirely in your browser — there is no account, no install and no paywall. Server costs and new modes (other Grand Slams are on the roadmap) are supported by unobtrusive advertising and optional contributions.
